We prepare for a new baby in many ways: decorating a nursery, buying clothes and gadgets to make life with baby go more smoothly, take various classes to learn to care for baby, but we rarely prepare for the enormous emotional and psychological changes a baby brings. Pregnancy is a great time to prepare for what can be both a joyous and incredibly challenging time in a woman’s life.
I will teach you coping skills that can help you adjust to your new life as a mom. We will explore your experiences with care-taking and discuss potential pit-falls as well as your strengths. Pregnancy and new motherhood are the ideal time to nurture yourself and create a strong support network. Our work together can be the foundation for such self-care.
